Contemporary Art India provides an assurance that each piece of art offered for sale on the website is a genuine work of the artist listed. Most of the featured works are directly sourced from the artists themselves, some artworks are inherited, and a few have been obtained from our Partner Galleries.

Every purchase will be accompanied by an Authenticity Certificate signed by the directors of the company.

In the unlikely event that any item purchased from Contemporary Art India is subsequently proven to be inauthentic, the full purchase price and shipping costs paid will be refunded. Such claims will be handled on a case by case basis, and will require examinable proof of questionable authenticity to be furnished from an established authority.

This refund guarantee is valid for one year from the date of purchase of the original artwork from Contemporary Art India, on the conditions that:

1. Claims will be made only by the original purchaser, (claims are not assignable)
2. The item is returned in the same condition that it was in, at the time of purchase
3. The item was indisputably purchased from Contemporary Art India
4. At the time of sale, there were techniques available which could have helped us determine that the item was not authentic.
